On Wednesday 6th March EnviroMonitors exhibited for the fourth year at the Precision Farming Event. The annual event is held at the East of England Showground and although the turnout this year felt lower than previous years it was just as valuable. The EnviroMonitors team were pleased to meet new visitors to the event and catch up with existing customers. It was interesting to note a wider range of visitors which included top fruit and soft fruit growers as well as the anticipated arable businesses and big corporates.

Our MeteoVue Remote Data Solution was in high demand at this years event - almost half of our visitors at this years show were interested in the developments offered by MeteoVue Version 2. Visitors to the event appreciated the flexibility of the system. Visitors were pleased to hear that the MeteoVue System is not rented, it is owned by the customer, the only ongoing cost is an annual SIM charge.

Our handheld agronomy tools were also a popular topic in conversations with visitors. The SoilStik pH Meter is always of interest at Precision Farming as it is a quick and reliable way of monitoring pH without having to send off samples for analysis. The discreet Button Loggers, used to monitor temperature over a wide area or at one location, allow you to log differences in temperature across your crop’s land. Our IPM Scope gathered some attention as it allows the capturing of images at x40 and x140 magnification and capture images when connected to a PC or laptop.

The EnviroMonitors team were pleased to see that the education about the importance of monitoring has improved in the last year. People we spoke to this year could see that monitoring conditions at their crop enables them to improve their decision making, in turn helping to maximise profits and increase yield.
