Ever been Nervous about Frost damaging your Vines or Fruit? If so EnviroMonitors can help you rest easy.

EnviroMonitors are pleased to be launching The Watchdog Cellular Alert system during Fruit Focus 2012 and the Vines to Wines event on the 25th July 2012 at East Malling Research Centre, Kent.

Manufactured by Spectrum Technologies in the US, the Watchdog Cellular Alert is a lunchbox sized product which can be left in a location of your choice to monitor temperature. The system allows for manual configuration of temperature limits which lets the grower set alerts to warn of frost, bud kill, heater failure or other concerns. Once the limit has been reached the WatchDog Cellular Alert will make a phone call to alert the grower.

Spectrum Technologies have received an AE50 Award for this leading-edge new system. This prestigious award is presented to the top 50 innovative new products produced throughout the world for the agricultural, food, and biological systems industries expected to save producers time, costs, and labour.

As the UK and Ireland distributor for Spectrum Technologies, EnviroMonitors will offer both of the models in the new range. The standard WatchDog Cellular Alert will call a basic mobile phone to alert that the temperature limit has been reached. The WatchDog Cellular Alert Pro includes a GSM cellular module which will place calls and/or text messages.

EnviroMonitors is seeing demand for systems which are able to send alarms to users as well as monitor temperature conditions to assist with crop protection increasing. EnviroMonitors have sold similar systems to Vineyards who have found the ability to be alerted instantly of temperature drops a great advantage when protecting their vines.
